Selection and Usage Notes
- Choose the material for the fluid and temperature: NBR for mineral oil, FKM for high temperatures and chemicals, silicone for food contact and wide temperature ranges.
- Use a harder compound or a back-up ring to prevent extrusion at high pressure.
- During fitting, keep seals away from sharp edges and threads and lubricate them with the system fluid.
