Selection and Usage Notes
- Use double-lip (TC) seals in dusty environments and single-lip (SC) seals in clean ones.
- FKM suits high temperatures and speeds; PTFE seals suit chemical media and dry running.
- The shaft surface must be smooth and free of scratches; press the seal in squarely with a fitting tool.

How is an oil seal size read?
As shaft diameter × housing (outer) diameter × height, in millimetres. Example: 40 × 62 × 8.
What is the difference between TC and SC seals?
TC seals have a dust lip in addition to the main sealing lip; SC seals have a single lip.
